Conspiracy of kindness

a book i recently finished enjoyed it and is worth a read, heres the synopsis - The "conspiracy of kindness" operates on a simple premise:loving deeds done by unassuming christians convince more people of the love of god than all the words in the world.

thanks for your post brian. well .... are you convinced? do loving deeds done by unassuming christians convince more people of the love of god than all the words in the world?

second question - do loving deeds done by unassuming people of any religion or none convince more people of the love of god than all the words in the world?

not wholly convinced but i think it definately makes the world a better place to live in the thing i'm not sure about is you can do a nice thing or a 'random act of kindness' as a non christian and if we are not talking about it are we just expecting people to guess why we are doing it?

what does the book say?
presumably there is some explanation as to how/why people become aware of the love of God.

My opinion, for what it's worth is that God is present in every act of kindness. He is the author of kindness and our acts of kindness have a direct relationship with God.

from the parable of the sheep and the goats
'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'(matthew 25.40)

no mention of 'when you believe in me and do these things'
Christian or not God is blesses through the kindness of human deeds. Our project is blessed by charitable trusts who support us, whether christian or not I believe they are blessing God, blessing the young people we work with and blessing us through their giving.
